This was our first time showing at an IABCA (International All Breed Canine Association) show, right beside the CKC,AKC,
and UK dogs. It was a very different experience, which at times was very confusing as the judging style is completely
different then how we are normally judged. All the show stuff aside, we had a fabulous time! There were
just over 80 dogs competing and we got to spend time with breeds that we normally never get to see in our shows, and the people were
incredibly freindly. On the other hand they don't often get to see the rare breeds either, so it was a great learning experience
for all. We had such a fun time with them all.
Now back to the show stuff.
Lexi and Odi were great representives
of the Shiloh Shepherd breed and attracted tones of attention. Both also did exceptionally well in the show. Lexi
recieved an overall rating of V-1 in all four shows, and Odi recieved an SG-1 in all four shows. These are the highest ratings
possible to recieve from the judges! By the end of the weekend Lexi had earned her 'International Championship', and already
has one 'CAC' certificate toward her 'National Championship', and Odi earned his 'Jugand Championet'!
Odi also
won the Reserve Best in Show Puppy for Saturdays show, and Lexi won the Reserve Best in Show Rare Breeds in Sundays am Show!
Check out these Cuties! We just couldn't resist taking a few pics. These are Miniture Russian Terriers.
PS. Odi was
sure these were his new toys. LOL
